About Dr. Fatima

Hello! I am Dr Fatima Abbasi, and I believe that exceptional clinical care goes beyond diagnosis and treatment. It begins with patient education, self-awareness, and empowerment, and when women understand how their bodies work, they can make informed and confident choices about their health.

My commitment to women’s health took root during 2024 to 2025, when I spent my medical intern year at my country’s largest tertiary care hospitals. I worked closely with women navigating complex menstrual and reproductive health challenges that would have been avoided with the help of proper guidance and information. Then, a year later, I transitioned into academic research from 2025 to 2026, focusing on the unmet reproductive health needs of women living with autoimmune conditions. After interviewing over 1,000 women whose reproductive and menstrual concerns had long been dismissed or secondary to their primary diagnoses, one truth became overwhelmingly clear: far too many women spend years seeking clarity for basic, crucial health questions.

Today, as Head of Content at Menstrual Portal, I am dedicated to educating and empowering women regarding their bodies and the natural process of menstruation. I direct our content strategy and ensure strict compliance with editorial standards across everything we publish. I also lead our content creation across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social media platforms. My clinical training and research background allow me to hold our content to the highest standards. I know when an article lacks medical depth, when a claim requires stronger evidence, and when a topic demands direct, compassionate honesty.

At Menstrual Portal, I am dedicated to building a trusted global platform where women feel heard, educated, and validated.

What Drives Me

In her own words

“A good doctor doesn’t treat a disease but helps in preventing it. I believe that, with proper information and guidance, all those having an anatomic or physiological female reproductive system can take steps towards better health. Thus, eradicating gender disparities related to health.”
