About Dr. Sara

Hi, I'm Dr. Sara Ahmad Qureshi, and I graduated from Islamabad Medical and Dental College, Islamabad. I did my internship at Social Security Hospital and Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Islamabad. I did my OB-GYN training at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, and I am MRCOG-1 qualified as well with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in the UK. I am a senior registrar (attending) in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Akhtar Saeed Medical College and Farooq Teaching Hospital in Islamabad. Before that, I held the same role at Salma Kafeel Medical & Infertility Centre.

Menstruation is a fundamental part of women’s health, yet it is often surrounded by stigma, misinformation, and inadequate access to appropriate care. I am motivated by the opportunity to help women understand their menstrual cycles, recognize when symptoms are not normal, and receive timely care. I believe that improving menstrual health can have a lasting impact on a woman’s physical health, emotional well-being, education, and quality of life. As an OB-GYN, I hope to combine evidence-based medicine with education and compassionate communication to empower women to better understand and advocate for their own health.
